Meet your future therapist

Summer Ahmed, LCSW

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), I see therapy as a true partnership. I believe the best healing happens when you feel respected, understood, and supported as an equal in the process. My goal is to show up as my genuine self in sessions—real, down-to-earth, and never “sterile” or overly clinical. I take a person-centered and strengths-based approach, which means I focus on what makes you you—your values, strengths, and resilience—and build from there.

I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Central Florida and went through years of training and supervision to become licensed as an LCSW. Along the way, I sought out specialized training in areas like trauma-informed care, EMDR, and mindfulness practices because I wanted to bring clients tools that are both practical and meaningful. While the education and credentials are important, what matters to me is creating a safe, comfortable space where you can show up fully as yourself.

Outside of therapy, I love hiking and being in nature, moving and creating in the aerial arts community, traveling around the world, and spending time with my fur babies. These things keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of balance, play, and connection—values that I also bring into my work with clients. By aligning with my passions, I can better support my clients more sustainably.
